You bridge the gap between business and IT – as an Application Specialist, you optimize the engineering process by enabling innovative applications. Taken

 Translate engineering business needs into functional specifications, collaborating with stakeholders to analyze and solve issues. Develop and implement application processes, manage Cadmatic interfaces, and maintain user access rights.

Configure project environments, maintain supplier relationships, and organize application training in coordination with the Engineering Support Manager. Provide PLM/CAD user support, and prepare training materials, tips, and user documentation for Cadmatic.

Your responsibilities will encompass enhancing the company's in-house systems and processes based on your expertise and interests:

  • Synchronizing engineering and business processes with digital tools;
  • Creating and refining in-house data standards;
  • Leading the development of innovative in-house engineering databases and web applications;
  • Overseeing the selection and implementation of new tools and software.

Functie eisen

  • Bachelor degree in engineering, preferably in shipbuilding or mechanical engineering.
  • Proficiency with Cadmatic platform, ideally also affinity with CATIA and the 3DExperience platform (Dassault Systemes).
  • Knowledge of PLM principles and experience with functional application management.
  • Excellent command of the English language, with proficiency in Dutch being advantageous.
  • Ability to work on location, in The Netherlands from the locations in Rotterdam or Zeeland. 
  • Excellent references antecedents as a pre-employment security screening is standard part of the recruitment procedure.
  • Permanent EU citizenship and passport are both required and candidates with NL/EU (work) visa or with both an EU and non-EU nationality and/or passport are not eligible in accordance with the requirements imposed by the military nature of our projects.
