As a Structural Analyst (R&D), you will be based in Vlissingen.

As a Structural Analyst R&D, you will play a critical role in overseeing project deliverables from obtaining class approval for the structure to participating in technical meetings with colleagues, suppliers, regulatory authorities, and client representatives. You will guide structural engineers in creating 3D-CAD models, culminating in the review of drawings and production packages. Your contribution to enhancing departmental knowledge and streamlining internal processes will also be highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical advice and support to teams regarding ship structure calculations.
  • Develop, document, and refine standards and working methodologies.
  • Design and implement innovative solutions for the next generation of projects.
  • Act as part of technical project teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Evaluate, specify, develop, and test simulation software to meet project needs.
  • Ensure seamless integration of existing software tools and resolve compatibility issues between platforms.
  • Maintain full compliance with all customer specifications and regulatory body requirements.

Functie eisen

To excel as an  Structural Analyst Research and Development (R&D), you will need:

  • EU CITIZENSHIP is mandatory due to the military nature of the projects.
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant technical field.
  • Proficiency in Python programming, along with experience using FEM modeling and analysis tools like ANSYS, NX, or FEMAP.
  • Strong technical expertise and understanding of ship structures, as well as object-oriented design, analysis, and programming.
  • Full professional fluency in English, both written and verbal; proficiency in Dutch is preferred.
  • Excellent references, as the hiring process includes a mandatory security screening.
