Senior QHSE Engineer

Join our client as Senior QHSE Engineer with the primary goal of this role is to facilitate the dissemination of QHSE awareness and ensure the seamless integration of the management system across the entire company.
You will be aiding the onshore and offshore line organization, contribute to the enhancement and implementation of a comprehensive management system. This system integrates a safety management system aspect (ISM fleet management), a segment for product quality management (ISO 9001), and a module for environmental management (ISO 14001).

Taken
- Provide QHSE support to commercial proposals and projects, departments, and vessels.
- Respond to incident notification and investigation in collaboration with Vessel Manager and Project QHSE Engineer.
- Carry out internal and external audits as required by the management system and project (contract) requirements.
- Translate changes in legislation, standards, etc. into QHSE implications for the company's operations.
- Act as lead incident investigator when needed.
- Provide risk assessments to projects and vessels.
- Monitor status of vessel audit findings and report to Manager QHSE on a monthly basis.
- Participate in incident investigation teams.
- Coach QHSE Engineers.
- Prepare and issue Safety Flash Reports if necessary.
- Development of the required QHSE deliverables for projects.
- Liaise with other QHSE Engineers to share lessons learned from individual vessels to identify trends.
- Contact Safety Officer regularly to discuss any (non-project) items.
- Provide HSE-related input for portcall/docking/lay-up documentation
- Review observations entered into the databases and log into a monthly basis and provide feedback to the vessel as applicable.
- Follow up on QHSE actions from the vessel meetings and provide feedback on the status of these actions.
Functie eisen
- Possesses a minimum of 8+ years of experience as a (Q)HSE professional in the offshore industry
- Demonstrates expert knowledge in health and safety management systems and risk mitigation strategies
- Holds a Bachelor's or Master's degree with a specialization in sustainability
- Possesses a recognized H&S qualification at the Dutch HVK/IVK level, NEBOSH Diploma, or an equivalent certification
- Exhibits excellent proficiency in both English and Dutch languages (Professional level)
- Displays strong communication skills and a collaborative team-player attitude
