We are looking for a Project Engineer for our construction facility Mercury Yacht Construction BV.
What will your challenge be?
In this role you have the following duties and responsibilities:
- You receive assignments from and discuss them with the Manager Engineering and Project Manager.
- You collect all the necessary information for the specification of the project phase.
- You regularly coordinate information needs with engineering coordinators Construction and Outfit of the project team.
- You ensure the correct receipt and storage of engineering information.
- You are responsible for putting together work packages based on the information needs and the received engineering information for your own engineering and for outsourced engineering.
- You ensure coordination of priorities and planning within your own team and for outsourced drawing work and progress reporting.
- You focus on and monitor the correct integration of all technical disciplines.
- You assess the feasibility, identify and discuss deviations and ensure necessary revisions or changes when necessary.
- You discuss changes that affect the contractual requirements with Manager Engineering.
- You develop detailed planning and delivery schedules for technical documentation for the assigned technical discipline in close cooperation with Project Manager and Lead Engineer.
- You monitor the daily progress and quality of the work in close cooperation with Lead Engineer and Project Leaders of co-makers/suppliers.
- You take care of solving planning and progress problems and, if necessary, adjust and align the planning daily to ensure efficiency and progress.
- You provide support to purchasing with technical purchasing specifications, production during the construction phase and commissioning and after-sales during the warranty and after-sales period.
What do we ask?
- MBO or HBO diploma (maritime technology or mechanical engineering)
- Relevant experience with ship and/or superyacht construction or the will to develop in it.
- You recognize yourself in the following competencies: accuracy, result orientation, quality orientation, organizational commitment, planning and organizing and flexibility.
- You are able to communicate engineering issues clearly.
- You are proactive and have sufficient problem-solving skills.
