In the role of Power Systems Engineer, you will be involved from the proposal phase of the project, during its execution and up until the delivery of the engineering deliverables.
The Power System Engineer, together with the team, will deliver completely integrated Propulsion Systems.
In order to contribute to the project, you will:
- Perform design proposals and calculation
- Perform design check and review to ensure the required quality is met
- Prepare technical and functional specification documents, and test/validation plans
- Cooperate with other engineering disciplines and departments
- Perform E&A interfacing of propulsion components with the Propulsion Control System and Power Management System
- Ensure technical performance of vendors and subcontractors, and perform cost analysis on offers together with the Purchase Department
- Work in compliance to requirements and specifications, as set by Class and customer
- Ensure technical support and commissioning activities
- Participate in the production of proposals, and manage vendor and subcontractors
As Power Systems Engineer, you need:
- MSc or BSc in a relevant (technical) discipline, combined with at least 2 years of experience in the design and installation of complex Electrical Power systems
- Experience in electrical installation and drive systems gained in ships, offshore or industrial installations
- Experience within the design of Propulsion Control and Power Management systems
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance precautions
- Previous experience with third party vendors and subcontractors
- Excellent knowledge of English (Dutch and German are highly preferred)
- EU citizenship combined with excellent antecedents (NON-EU profiles will not be considered)
