Lead Electrical Integration Engineer - Yacht Building

As one of the largest electrical system integrators in the industry, our client works on superyachts, integrating cutting-edge electrical systems for the most prestigious vessels. Their Engineering department plays a critical role in delivering excellence in cable and system integration data, creating detailed cable plans, diagrams, and commissioning reports.

Interested to be part of part of their successful team? We have an exciting lead role based close to North Amsterdam. 

You will be part of a dedicated team producing panel drawings for everything from distribution panels to fire detection systems, and coordinate the control of lighting and alarm monitoring systems.

  • Lead the engineering team in coordinating with third-party suppliers.
  • Oversee the design of main and sub-distribution panels, guiding engineers in their drawing tasks.
  • Review and verify the accuracy of completed work.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive design file, including calculations for short-circuit, selectivity, heat loss, and power balances.
  • Supervise the creation of manufacturing and commissioning protocols.
  • Track and manage revisions, ensuring timely processing of changes.
  • Monitor project timelines and establish hourly budgets.
  • Identify and resolve uncertainties related to I/Os, serial data, and connection details, especially for systems supplied by third-party vendors.
  • Foster clear communication between the project team and the client, ensuring all parties are aligned.

Functie eisen

  • Strong affinity for electrical engineering and a working/thinking level equivalent to HBO.
  • Several years of relevant experience, ideally within shipbuilding.
  • Results-driven, systematic, and assertive, with excellent analytical abilities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and possess commercially-oriented communication skills.
  • Proficient in English, with Dutch being a plus.
