As Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) Project Engineer - Commissioning and Aftersales,  you will be part of our client’s international service team. You blend technical expertise with sales and project management skills. Joining a diverse group of engineering professionals, the company collectively assists clients in optimizing their supplied systems and products. These include everything from spare parts supply and technical support, to hands-on installation of control system upgrades. You'll stay in regular contact with clients, making on-site visits for inspections and overseeing upgrade scopes.

For new build projects, you may be involved in commissioning installations, from the fabrication yard to the final stages after offshore installation. Beyond theoretical E&I knowledge, you'll provide essential hands-on support, working with equipment such as control systems, telemetry systems, and communication equipment.

Your role extends to offering operational performance insights on existing systems, sharing this information within the department, and delivering regular reports to the Department Head (and Project Manager if assigned).

Functie eisen

To  be considered for this position, you must be or have:

  • No visa sponsorship will be provided for this role.  EU nationality of candidates with existing rights to work in The Netherlands is a mandatory requirement for this position.
  • Demonstrate over 3 years of relevant experience in the Offshore / Maritime industry, showcasing the ability to identify and resolve E&I-related problems.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Field is nice to have but equivalent Secondary Vocational education complemented with several years of field experience is also desired. 
  • Able to Initiate improvements and work independently with strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Exhibit proficiency in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Be prepared to travel and work offshore periodically. Assignments typically last for two weeks, with an average of five assignments per year.
  • Showcase computer literacy, particularly in MS Office.
