Discipline Lead Product Engineer

We are looking for a Discipline Lead Product Engineer with a minimum experience of 5 years’ in the yacht or ship building industry, to join our client’s production engineering team and ensure that the entire business process runs smoothly.
As a Discipline Lead Product Engineer, you are responsible for the entire engineering process for the construction of the superyachts. At the same time, you will be collaborating with the lead engineers from other disciplines, such as mechanical engineering, construction, exterior, interior, and special engineering (depending on discipline). You will also be monitoring the information flow towards production, to ensure the schedule and standards are met within time, budget and quality.

- Continuously drives performance by organizing, planning, coordinating, distributing, and controlling work;
- Responsible for addressing concerns and issues and monitoring budgets;
- Drives and ensures high-quality delivery of the production targets;
- Coordinating with other engineering disciplines, training workers, and subcontractors.
Functie eisen
- B.Sc. Mechanical Engineering or equivalent;
- At least 5 years’ managerial experience in yacht or ship building;
- Available to work full time with higher vocational education (HBO) minimum;
- Able to relate to colleagues at all levels and navigate cultural differences with ease;
- Takes a creative yet disciplined approach to work, and able to adapt to changing priorities, and is always keen to learn something new;
- Good leadership and communication skills.
