Tasks

  • Developing and completing structural designs with relevant calculations, from the proposal phase to yard support and vessel delivery.
  • Creating construction plans, section, and foundation drawings, and outer deck arrangements using 2D and 3D CAD software.
  • Performing strength, stiffness, vibrations, buckling, fatigue, and military load calculations (e.g., blast and signature aspects).
  • Ensuring compliance with all applicable requirements and specifications from regulatory bodies and customers.
  • Collaborating with colleagues and suppliers, conducting technical meetings, and defending technical solutions.
  • Integrating vendor and subcontractor information and performing required technical calculations.
  • Conducting technical evaluations of quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Contributing to research and development initiatives and continuous improvement of internal processes.

Job requirements

  • EU CITIZENSHIP mandatory due to the military nature of the projects. 
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Naval Architecture, Structural Engineering or relevant studies
  • Minimum of two years of experience in ship structure engineering, shipbuilding, or offshore industry.
  • Familiarity with ship class calculations and class tools (DNV-GL Nauticus Hull, LR-SSC, or BV MARS2000).
  • Experience with FEM modelling and analysis software (ANSYS, NX, or FEMAP) and CAD systems (NUPAS, 3DX, Catia, Cadmatic Hull, or Solidworks).
  • Excellent English communication skills.
