We are looking for experienced engineers in basic design and system engineering for a shipbuilding project at Wismar Shipyard. You will contribute to the construction of a 170-meter Arctic research vessel for the German government.

Tasks

  • Developing basic design and system engineering concepts.
  • Ensuring compliance with engineering standards and client specifications.
  • Supporting the integration of mechanical, electrical, and automation systems.
  • Conducting technical evaluations and feasibility studies.
  • Collaborating with clients, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.

Job requirements

  • Degree in Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
  • 3+ years of experience in shipbuilding/system engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of ship design, system integration, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in engineering software tools (e.g., CAD, FEM).
  • English required, basic German preferred.
