For our client in Rotterdam area, a leading supllier propulsion systems for the maritime industry. We are seeking a Field Service Engineer Electrical to execute installations, maintenance, and repairs both locally and globall (65% traveling involved).

Tasks

As a Field Service Engineer Electrical, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of our client's state-of-the-art thruster systems. This role requires extensive travel and involves direct interaction with customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs of thruster systems locally and globally.
  • Perform revision and repair work on customer products in our workshop.
  • Test new systems in the workshop.
  • Support the production of new systems when needed.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues through inspection, repair, or replacement of parts.
  • Provide customer support during service visits.
  • Report field feedback to the Field Service Coordinator and relevant engineering teams.

Job requirements

  • Intermediate+ / BSc. degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics (or equivalent).
  • Knowledge of electronic control systems, PLCs, and Frequency Drives (preferred).
  • Programming language skills (preferred).
  • Experience or affinity with hydraulic systems and drive technologies (preferred).
  • Proficiency in English, both spoken and written. Dutch and German a is a big plus
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused mindset.
