Our client, a Monaco based superyacht design office has an opening in their team as a Technical Project Manager.  This long-term, full-time position involves working on a newbuild superyacht project, currently in the final design stage. This role requires you to be be based in Turkey, predominantly.

Ideal candidates should have extensive experience working in Dutch, German, UK shipyards and/or design offices for superyachts

Tasks

The Technical Project Manager will oversee the technical aspects of the superyacht newbuild project. Key tasks include:

  • Revising project technical specifications, general arrangement plans, and Maker’s list in cooperation with naval architects and the shipyard.
  • Organizing technical studies for equipment or systems, researching advanced equipment and technologies.
  • Selecting and reviewing appropriate equipment manufacturers, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Supervising systems engineering development, ensuring quality and schedule adherence.
  • Conducting quality control of systems and equipment installation, including testing and final sea trials.
  • Consulting on clients’ technical questions and participating in client meetings.
  • Enforcing deadlines with technical subcontractors through calls, emails, and visits.
  • Attending regular weekly technical or production meetings.
  • Advising on new technology, materials, and equipment for new projects.
  • Communicating with naval architects and suppliers to implement their technology on projects.
  • Representing the company in front of brokers, owners’ representatives, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Traveling for technical surveys and consultations as required.

Job requirements

  • Proven experience at North European yards like Heesen, Amels, Feadship, or a senior technical position in similar projects or design offices.
  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree in naval archtiecture, marine- or mechanical engineering, or other relevant technical studies.
  • Preference for candidates with experience ashore and in office environments.
  • Full-time commitment and willingness to relocate to the Mediterranean Coast.
  • Must be a permanent EU citizen.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in technical specifications and quality control processes.

  • Salary-indication: Gross € 100.000,- on labor contract
