They are looking to expand their project management team, seeking a dedicated Project Manager to oversee technical projects .The position requires substantial experience within the maritime field - several years of experience in shipbuilding is a must, ensuring compliance with deadlines, resources, and budgets. Tasks

The position requires substantial experience within the maritime field - several years of experience in shipbuilding is a must.You will manage and coordinate technical projects (ferries new build or refits) in collaboration with various service departments, ensuring quality, legal compliance, and budgetary constraints. You will also maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage technical projects in close cooperation with service managers, ensuring deadlines, resources, quality, and budgets are met.
  • Oversee the preparation of project documentation, including preliminary drafts, technical specifications, and public tender documents.
  • Ensure compliance with legal frameworks, certification processes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and organize project meetings (steering committees, progress reviews, specific commissions).
  • Identify risks and propose mitigation measures, implementing necessary actions.
  • Coordinate project progress with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage technical coordination with all specialized contractors and technical teams.
  • Oversee administrative and contractual aspects related to various service providers.

Job requirements

  • Degree in mechanical engineering, or relevant other education, with additional recognized training in project management.
  • At least 5 years of experience in large-scale project and team management, in the maritime sector (yachts, ferries, and or cruise).
  • Experience within the maritime field - several years of experience in shipbuilding is a must.
  • Knowledge of public procurement regulations.
  • Expertise in Swiss or international maritime standards and regulations.
  • Strong leadership skills with excellent interpersonal communication, diplomacy, and team collaboration.
  • Fluency in French and English (C1 level); German (B2 level) is a plus.
  • Experience with advanced project management tools for complex, multidisciplinary projects.
