Tasks
As a Senior Engineer WTB, you will be involved in the engineering and application of technical equipment and ship systems for yachts under construction. You will work with multidisciplinary teams across different engineering disciplines, advising on mechanical aspects and ensuring adherence to regulations and quality standards.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing technical advice and making technical assessments regarding the feasibility of yachts.
- Supporting the Lead Engineer and Project Manager Engineering (PME) in project scope development and planning.
- Identifying technical bottlenecks and proposing interdisciplinary solutions.
- Offering functional guidance to fellow engineers in tasks such as detailed engineering, 3D modeling, and data sheet development.
- Training new colleagues, improving quality standards, and contributing to departmental innovation.
Job requirements
- HBO degree or equivalent experience in mechanical engineering, with several years of experience in the ship or yacht building sector.
- Knowledge of production techniques and experience with the manufacturability of components.
- Proficiency in Dutch and English, and familiarity with CAD drawing software (NX, Team Centre).
- Knowledge of relevant regulations such as Lloyd’s, SOLAS, and Large Yacht Code is an advantage.
- Passion for innovation and customer-oriented approach to deliver the best results in yacht building.
