Are you an ambitious and seasoned Quality Controller ready to bring your independent spirit to the forefront, contributing to further building production's quality standards? We're looking for a dedicated Quality Controller to join our dynamic team of engineers. This role offers the opportunity to make an immediate impact in a robust working environment. As part of this role, you'll be on-site at subcontractors and will be traveling between different yards in the Rotterdam area, ensuring the quality of Welding, Thick, and Thin Pipework (WTB) systems on board of the most luxurious yachts build in the world right now.

Tasks

  • Conduct on-site quality control inspections at subcontractors and control mechanical engineering work during the hull phase, inclusive inspection of the completed work;
  • Inspect WTB systems on board, including bilge, high fog, fuel, hydraulic systems, and other thick and thin pipework;
  • Collaborate closely with Quality Assurance to maintain and improve product quality and perfection;
  • Monitor established quality standards and initiate continuous process improvement;
  • Maintain digital records of quality measurements for audits and update Inspection Test Plans with new methods and documents;
  • Discuss results and report finding to production, inspection services, authorities and customers. 

Job requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of the hull phase in shipbuilding;
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality; able to work independently and familiar with the entire construction process, regulation, and quality requirements of seaworthy luxury super-yachts;
  • Previous experience in a comparable independent position is a necessity due to the robust nature of the role as well as willingness to travel extensively to domestic location in the Rotterdam area and Amsterdam.
