Our client, located in the Hanseatic city of Stralsund, specializes in the production of emission-free electric solar-powered ships and ferries. As a Purchasing Manager, you will manage the operational and strategic procurement of production materials, ensuring the highest quality standards for our client's modern, environmentally-friendly vessels.

Tasks

  • Managing the operational and strategic procurement of materials and services according to design and customer specifications.
  • Conducting bid evaluations, order processing, and maintaining procurement data.
  • Negotiating prices, contracts, and framework agreements with suppliers.
  • Monitoring delivery deadlines and ensuring compliance with contractual terms.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally to optimize procurement processes and support ERP system implementation.

Job requirements

  • At least 5+ years of experience in procurement.
  • Experience in the maritime industry is a strong advantage.
  • Proven ability to negotiate and manage supplier relationships.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems is a plus.
  • Fluent in English and German is a big plus.
  • EU Citizenship or German Blue Card.
