Become part of the Outfitting Design Department of one of the biggest shipyards in Germany to actively work on the completion of one of the latest and largest luxury cruise vessels globally.

Your main responsibility will be to work on the doors and locking systems of the cruise ship.

Tasks

  • Develop detailed specifications for doors and locking systems based on ship design requirements;
  • Collaborate with Naval Architects and other Engineers to integrate door and locking systems harmoniously into the overall ship design;
  • Design and implement customizable access control strategies for diverse ship areas based on crew roles and passenger privileges;
  • Integrate doors and locking systems seamlessly with other ship systems and maintain comprehensive documentation for all installations;
  • Stay current on industry standards for door and locking systems, conducting thorough testing to meet design and safety standards.

Job requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a Outfitting Engineer/ Outfitting System Engineer in the field of doors and locking systems;
  • Additional experience with working on a yard and with cruise ships is a BIG plus;
  • Knowledge of CATIA/CAD;
  • High proficiency in English is mandatory, German is an advantage;
  • Relocation to Wismar, Germany required;
  • EU-citizenship or possession of a German Blue card is required.
