Power Systems Engineer

As Power Systems Engineer (Electrical) you deliver fully integrated Propulsion system. You turn your knowledge (technical and practical) into innovative designs, and create specification documents, functional descriptions, drawings, test and validation plans.

In addition, you:

• Perform calculations to prove the designs;
• Check and review design to ensure quality;
• Cooperate with engineers from different disciplines;
• Create technical specifications documents;
• Perform E&A interfacing of the propulsion components with the Propulsion Control System and Power management System;
• Ensure the technical performance of vendors/subcontractors, and perform cost analysis on offers, together with the purchase department;
• Work in full compliance to requirements and specifications as dictated by Class and customers;
• Are involved in the production and submission of proposals to customers;
• Provide technical support and commissioning activities when necessary;
• Work closely with vendors and subcontractors to ensure the timeline of the project is guaranteed;
• Create and describe standards and working methods.

As Power Systems Engineer you need:

• MSc or BSc in Electrical Engineering or similar background;
• 3+ years of experience within the design and installation of Electrical Power Systems (ideally related to Electrical Propulsion);
• Previous experience and knowledge of installations and drive systems;
• Previous experience in the design of Propolusion Control and Power Management Systems;
• Knowledge of EMC regulations and Class-regulated products;
• Excellent English skills (Dutch or Geman would be beneficial but not mandatory);
• EU citizenship (this is a must) combined with excellent antecedents.
