Enter the fascinating world of shipbuilding and help shape the future of shipping! We are looking for a dedicated Piping Engineer HVAC who shares our customer-oriented vision. As a member of the team in Northern Germany, you will be responsible for challenging projects for air conditioning systems in cruise ships, passenger ships and special ships. Your passion for hydraulics and your technical know-how are required to realize innovative solutions in a dynamic environment. Become part of the team and set standards in shipbuilding with us!

Tasks

  • Review, development and coordination of hydraulic concepts for hot water and cold water systems;
  • Checking hydraulic components and materials, including mechanical and electrical components, actuators, valves, mechanical shut-off valves, etc;
  • Reviewing 3D designs and performing calculations, especially valves and HVAC piping system;
  • Verification of shipyard plans in accordance with EU regulations for water systems, air-conditioned spaces and ventilation ducts;
  • Close communication and collaboration with designers, project engineers, shipyard staff and various project teams;
  • Documentation from sketch to final installation and preparation for commissioning of systems, including condensate and ventilation systems on board;
  • Checking the routing for correct dimensioning, functionality and accessibility of all pipes and equipment with regard to maintenance and energy saving.

Job requirements

  • Several years of experience as a heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) technician, foreman, design engineer or equivalent degree such as process engineering and focus on HVAC;
  • Excellent written and spoken German and English;
  • Knowledge in the use of CAD software, especially Cadmatic;
  • Expert knowledge of hydraulics, including hot water and chilled water systems, pipes and valves;
  • Strong communication skills, self-confident appearance, assertiveness and ability to make decisions;
  • Experience in the shipbuilding industry is an advantage.
