Tasks

Typically, you will be part of a team that  focuses on accommodation and technical spaces, ensuring their functionality, maintainability, and ergonomic design. You'll collaborate with various teams and external entities to deliver the best technical solutions and ensure compliance with maritime regulations. Depending on your level, your responsibilities include:

  • Execute engineering activities using 2D and 3D environments, such as Cadmatic or 3DExperience (Catia).
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and customer specifications.
  • Develop necessary information, including arrangements, lists, and fabrication/mounting drawings.
  • Collaborate with various technical teams and external entities such as classification societies and customers.
  • Develop and describe yard standards to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Research, analyze, and interpret relevant norms, rules, and regulations, as well as customer requirements.
  • Draft project-specific regulatory frameworks based on applicable norms, rules, and regulations.
  • Create a design basis for the Engineering Department.
  • Develop well-substantiated alternative proposals when deviations from the regulatory framework are necessary.
  • Support project engineers in applying norms, rules, and regulations to their technical solutions.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement and development of the department.

Job requirements

  • EU CITIZENSHIP mandatory due to the military nature of the projects. 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Shipbuilding, or a related technical discipline.
  • Several years of experience in interior outfitting of equipment and systems both in engineering design or integration engineering.
  • Extensive experience with and broad knowledge of Class and Statutory Regulations, preferably within the maritime or offshore industries.
  • Proficiency in 2D CAD and 3D CAD systems, such as Microstation, Cadmatic or 3DExperience (Catia).
  • Excellent command of English, both written and verbal.
