Our client is seeking an Offshore Structural Engineer to lead general planning, and safety coordination for offshore platforms. Located in Rostock, Germany (Remote work possible), this role focuses on developing innovative solutions for offshore structures, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and optimizing platform efficiency.

Tasks

As an Offshore Structural Engineer, you will play a key role in the development and planning of offshore platforms. Your main responsibilities include:

  • Developing structural concepts and general planning for offshore platforms, ensuring compliance with safety and stability requirements;
  • Managing the basic design phase and supporting detailed engineering in coordination with construction and installation teams;
  • Conducting technical coordination with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and regulatory bodies;
  • Assisting in technical specifications for tenders and contracts related to offshore structures;
  • Providing technical support for modifications to offshore assets, integrating new components and systems;
  • Leading general arrangements and safety planning to ensure regulatory compliance and operational efficiency;
  • Driving CAD-related tasks, ensuring seamless integration of structural and safety requirements;
  • Facilitating interdisciplinary discussions on risk assessments, structural safety, and platform optimization.

Job requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A degree in Naval Architecture, Offshore Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field;
  • Proficiency in CATIA and CAD software, with experience in offshore platforms, topside modules, or floating structures;
  • Strong understanding of offshore safety regulations, classification standards, and risk assessments;
  • Fluent English skills (negotiation level); German is a plus;
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a structured and solution-oriented mindset.
