A leading builder of superyachts, specializing in both new constructions and refits, offers an opportunity for a Naval Architect to work in state-of-the-art facilities. In this role, you will be the technical foundation of the design process, guiding projects from initial concept to final execution. Your expertise and problem-solving skills will transform innovative ideas into practical, buildable solutions. Collaborating closely with colleagues, senior naval architects, and lead engineers, you will help ensure the timely delivery of high-quality designs.

Tasks

As a Navall Architect, your scope of responsibilities include: 

  • Monitoring weight control processes
  • Collecting input and checking it against the budgets
  • Supporting dock plans, launches and transport activities
  • Monitoring feasibility and quality in superyacht ship designs
  • Ensure that all designs comply with international regulations and standards

Job requirements

  • A proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Strong understanding of the construction process for seaworthy superyachts.
  • 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in (super)yacht or shipbuilding.
  • Exceptional communication skills in both Dutch and English.
  • The ability to effectively inform team members and stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.
  • A higher professional education in Maritime Technology, Shipbuilding, or a related field.
