We are currently looking for a qualified Manufacturing Engineer Structures with experience in the maritime industry and a good knowledge of German. You can be based in Kiel or Wolgast. 

As a Manufacturing Engineer Structures you will be responsible for increasing efficiency and effectiveness in component manufacturing. Your tasks will include analyzing device layouts, workflow and assembly processes as well as identifying the required components and tools. You will comprehensively plan, design, optimize and monitor the production processes.

Tasks

  • Create detailed work instructions for production staff and ensure clear communication within the organization;
  • Monitor material take-off (MTO) and manage goods orders;
  • Creating production drawings and providing technical information packages and tooling instructions;
  • Create specifications for outsourcing and define quality controls according to test and inspection plans;
  • Reviewing and optimizing the workflow in the structural production process;
  • Working within the specified time, budget and quality limits;
  • Identifying deficiencies and suggesting improvements to management.

Job requirements

  • A degree in mechanical engineering and at least 5 - 7 years of professional experience in this field; 
  • In-depth knowledge of all phases of the production processes;
  • Experience with production, engineering and / or design software such as SAP, 3DX, Teamcenter and Cadmatic / Inventor;
  • Very good written and spoken English and German;
  • Due to a standard pre-employment security check as part of the recruitment process, strong professional references are required;
  • Permanent EU citizenship in conjunction with an EU work visa is mandatory for our personnel due to the nature of the military projects.
