As Lead Engineer (E&A), you will be responsible of the integration of various electrical systems (power, navigation, security systems) on board our client's workboats. You play a key role throughout the engineering process, liaise with partners, suppliers, clients and shipyards.
In addition, you:
- Draft functional descriptions and technical specifications for electrical systems and equipment, and evaluate supplier specifications.
- Develop initial one-line diagrams, balance loads, and arrange panels and cable trays.
- Coordinate and oversee integration with other disciplines (e.g., Shipbuilding, Mechanical) and co-makers.
- Manage technical and organizational aspects of multiple projects concurrently, overseeing various engineering teams.
- Lead and supervise an engineering team per project, including mentoring junior E&A engineers.
- Assist clients, classification societies, and national authorities during the approval process.
To succeed in the role of Lead Engineer (E&A), you have:
- MSc or BSc in Electrical Engineering, or another similar technical discipline.
- Approximately 4 years’ relevant experience, preferably within the shipbuilding industry.
- Proficiency in English.
- Experience in developing Electrification and/or Control & Monitoring systems.
- Proven ability to lead and manage projects.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence and manage expectations.
- Willingness to travel occasionally.
