Instrumentation Engineer

In your role of Instrumentation Engineer, you will be involved from the beginning of the project, during the FEED and basic/detailed phases.

Together with a team of designers and engineers, you define the concept and work out the system details. In addition, you implement vendor data and work closely with sub contractors during the preparation of detailed documentation for construction, commissioning and operation phases.

As Instrumentation Engineer, you will:

• Assist during the development of project specific system design with associated documentation
• Act as Package Engineer when required, and work closely with Supply Chain to perform technical bid evaluations
• Ensure that remote teams received the required information and are able to prepare documentation such as Specification, Bid reviews, cable Block diagrams, Loop diagrams, Cable list, etc.
• Review vendor data and make sure that package units are correctly integrated/interfaced
• Constantly ensure the interfaces alignment with other disciplines (electrical, piping, process, etc.)
• Ensure the consistency and quality of documents prepared by sub-contractors
• Ensure constant compliance with Regulations, Class, and Client's requirements
• Ensure that cost, constructability, operability and maintainability are considered at each step

As Instrumentation Engineer, you need:

• Relevant degree in a Technical discipline, combined with extensive previous experience in Instrumentation Design
• Previous experience working within the Oil and Gas industry, ideally in the Offshore sector
• Knowledge of SPI and package interfaces
• Experience with the management of remote teams
• Experience with instrumentation for LNG applications and Marine application
• Knowledge of certification for hazardous areas such as IECEx001
