Our client, a leading name in naval shipbuilding, is seeking a skilled Engineer Marine Piping Systems (Interim) to contribute to advanced naval vessel projects. Based in Vlissingen, you will focus on designing, engineering, and ensuring the integration of piping systems in compliance with high-quality standards.

Tasks

You will be responsible for designing and engineering piping systems for naval vessels, ensuring they meet rigorous technical, safety, and regulatory standards.

In addition, you will:

  • Analyze and evaluate specifications for piping systems to ensure compliance with project and regulatory standards.
  • Develop and model basic engineering packages in a 3D environment.
  • Create detailed engineering packages for production, ensuring accuracy and adherence to standards.
  • Collaborate with various disciplines to optimize piping solutions for the overall project.
  • Identify and resolve design challenges during project reviews.
  • Ensure all designs meet applicable requirements and contribute to departmental knowledge retention.

 

    Job requirements

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant technical field (e.g., mechanical or piping engineering) 
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in piping systems engineering, preferably in shipbuilding or offshore installations.
    • Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software for piping systems.
    • Experience working on complex, high-end naval or offshore vessels.
    • Fluent in English (written and verbal).
    • Must be a permanent EU citizen with an EU passport.
