Engineer for Commissioning & Testing

Join our client, a respected shipyard based in Germany, as a Commissioning Engineer. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about shipbuilding and electrical systems, focusing on testing and ensuring optimal performance during commissioning.

Tasks

  • Inspect piping systems and perform pressure tests after sensor and fitting installations;
  • Prepare systems by filling them with the correct operating fluids;
  • Commission system components and ensure functionality according to specifications;
  • Coordinate delivery preparations with shipping companies and regulatory bodies;
  • Test, monitor, and manage technical systems during general ship operations;
  • Troubleshoot issues and implement solutions within operational limits;
  • Execute warranty work on newly delivered ships as needed.

Job requirements

  • Vocational training as an industrial mechanic specializing in mechanical and systems engineering or comparable vocational training and several years of professional experience;
  • STCW certificates desirable;
  • Good knowledge of English;
  • Ability to work independently and reliably;
  • Flexibility, strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.
