Document Controller

Good project documentation is of great importance when building a Feadship. As a Document Controller at Royal Van Lent Shipyard you are responsible for the central registration and documentation of all drawings and associated documents used in the design of our superyachts. You offer transparency and clarity about the drawings, documents and their status. You determine which documents are kept and ensure that the information is findable and available to everyone. You do this by setting up the archive and managing it.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

• You ensure accurate digitization of all drawings, which are made within RVLS and by third parties in Sharepoint, TIS and Teamcenter;
• You are responsible for the correct administration of all drawings and the application of structure in the existing administrative processes;
• You prioritize and identify information that is important to the project and share it with the project teams. 
• In consultation with the Project Manager, you draw up selection criteria for selecting and storing information in the Drawing Registration System;
• Managing changes in the metadata (scope list) and providing them with a correct description/tag;
• Developing, setting up and managing an archive and archive policy so that colleagues or external parties can easily find and view drawings and other documentation;
• Ensuring that the drawings are sent to the right contacts, both digitally and hardcopy, and that this is recorded in the system; 
• Process feedback from external parties and link it to the relevant drawings so that the information is easy to find. This includes the administration of the inspection drawings to the inspection authorities. Also responsible for process monitoring of timeliness and signaling exceedances.
• You work together with HSE, among other things.

The ideal candidate has completed administrative training. In addition, relevant work experience in a similar role is a requirement.
