As a Design Engineer Naval Architect, you will be developing naval architecture design solutions, contributing to high-end projects and solving complex engineering problems.

Tasks

  • Performing design and reporting activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
  • Contributing to requirements analysis, concept generation, general system architecture, weight and power estimations, design of structures, arrangements, accommodation layout, and main ship balances.
  • Evaluating designs against requirements and preparing corresponding reports.
  • Writing technical documents, equipment specifications, contract specifications, and reports.
  • Facilitating communication with stakeholders to gather input and ensure alignment on technical solutions.
  • Participating in discussions with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders on technical aspects of proposed solutions.
  • Supporting cost evaluations provided by suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with internal departments to optimize project outcomes.

Job requirements

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Naval Architecture or a related field.
  • Experience in naval architecture, preferably in complex new built naval ships.
  • Expertise in a variety of design concepts and practices, including technologically advanced design and proposal processes.
  • Good command of the Dutch and English language both written and verbal.
  • Must be a permanent EU citizen.
