For one of our clients within the oil & gas industry, we are looking for a Cost Controller to join their department within the Finance division in the South of Holland. 

As Cost Controller, you will be responsible for the planning, scheduling and cost analysis report of projects.

Tasks

As Cost Controller you will:

  • Provide support to the project teams on cost control related matters
  • Prepare predictions on costs and revenues (monthly) and discuss the results with the PM
  • Analyse deviations from budget and explain the reasons behind them
  • Perform a monthly cash flow overview of actual and forecast costs and revenues
  • Prepare Variation Order Request and budget revisions in concert with the PM
  • Initiate invoices to clients and make sure they are made on time and correctly
  • Check the accuracy of commitments taken and invoices together with the department and the PM
  • Contribute to the optimization of the processes and the procedures in all administrative and cost control related matters
  • Prepare the financial close-out of projects
  • Train and support junior colleagues

Job requirements

As Cost Controller you need:

  • MSc or BSc in Accountancy, Business Administration, Mechanical Engineer (or similar education)
  • Previous experience in cost control, ideally in a complex project-based environment within the offshore industry
  • Previous experience with ERP software (Oracle)
  • Good knowledge of accounting
