Contracts Engineer

In your role of Contracts Engineer, you will join the commercial and capital sub-contracts team, and you will be responsible of searching new suppliers and contracting for commercial and capital projects. You will contribute to the improvement of procurement processes and maintain a supply chain management point of view. 

In addition, you:

• You contribute to the improvement of the management system, according to the scope of work and while promoting a safe and healthy work environment
• Perform the tendering and contracting process as assigned, and in line with procedures
• Set requirements for the scope and sourcing of goods, materials and services
• Define contracting strategy in line with market situation, policies, requirements and value/risks
• Select, (pre-)qualify and evaluate potential suppliers
• Prepare and submit tender packages and bid evaluation sheets for (internal) review and approval
• Negotiate pricing and T&C with vendors, with the support of the Legal Department
• Award and administrate frame agreements/contract in Oracle

As Contracts Engineer, you must have / be:

• MSc or BSc in Business Administration, Engineering, Commercial Law or similar discipline
• At least 4 years of experience within tactical procurement combined with a technical background
• Excellent analytical and negotiation skills
• Excellent communication skilled, combined with a hands-on mentality
• Knowledge of MS Office and ERP
• Additional courses such NEVI 1 and 2 are considered an advantage
• Experience in the Netherlands is a must
