As the Sub-department Manager, your leadership and strategic direction will be essential. Your responsibilities will include managing people, allocating resources and optimizing processes to name a few. Additionally, you will guide your team towards the successful execution and delivery of projects, while also contributing to broader engineering and proposals initiatives.

Tasks

- Oversee allocation of group resources for project teams
- Ensure management activities are carried out within scheduled timelines, quality standards and cost constraints
- Develop and maintain strong internal and external partnerships to achieve strategic objectives
- Measure and advance internal performance across all facets of the group
- Review and refine operating plans, policies, and procedures to achieve business outcomes
- Provide expert proposal review support and cross-functional design reviews
- Evaluate and refine processes and facilitate knowledge transfer and retention
- Manage group resource planning and foster collaborative work environment
- Prioritize linguistic integrity throughout the overall process

Job requirements

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical field
- At least ten years of experience in engineering concepts and practices
- Experience in engineering, manufacturing, and integration of complex systems for new built ships
- Experience in management principles and techniques, especially in financial and contract management
- Fluent in both written and verbal Dutch and English
- Excellent references and a clean security screening
- Permanent EU citizenship and passport required
