Tasks

With a supportive team and a strong brand behind you, you will be a champion in:

Sales Growth & Business Development

  • Actively hunt for new business opportunities within the merchant marine sector, targeting shipowners, managers, and operators.
  • Expand market share by identifying new vessel prospects, maintaining strong relationships with existing clients, and driving upsell opportunities.
  • Work closely with internal regional sales teams and product experts to convert leads into customers and close deals.
  • Lead consultative sales discussions with customers, demonstrating how digital solutions can optimize fleet performance, improve efficiency, and support sustainability goals.
  • Manage the complete sales cycle, including quotation, bid and contract management, and sales governance processes.

Strategic Market Engagement

  • Represent our client at industry events, trade shows, conferences, and webinars to enhance market presence and build strategic relationships.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop go-to-market strategies for new digital optimization services.
  • Gather and analyze market intelligence and customer feedback to influence future product developments and business strategies.
  • Ensure effective CRM management by maintaining an accurate sales pipeline and forecasting sales performance.

Job requirements

 

  • Proven track record in SaaS or digital solution sales (A MUST) , ideally within the maritime & logistics sector in Northern Germany ( 80%), Poland (10%) and Switzerland (10%)
  • Strong consultative selling skills, capable of engaging with multiple stakeholders and navigating complex sales cycles.
  • In-depth knowledge of the maritime industry (or the ability to build a network quickly) and a solid understanding of shipowners’, managers’, and operators’ work processes.
  •  A hunter mentality—this is a business development role, not account management; proactive, resourceful, and driven to generate new business.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to articulate the value of digital transformation.
  • Experience using CRM tools and data analytics to identify new opportunities, manage pipelines, and track sales performance.
  • Strong team player mindset—you’ll work closely with regional and global teams to align on strategy and execution.
