Join our client, a leader in system integration for naval vessels and yachts, as an Automation Engineer. You will design, program, and configure automation systems for state-of-the-art naval vessels in a highly innovative environment. This role is based in the South of Holland region, with flexible and hybrid working options.

Tasks

As an Automation Engineer, you will be part of project teams working on cutting-edge naval vessels. You will design, program, and configure automation systems, ensuring the highest standards of quality and innovation. The role involves active participation in software development, acceptance testing, and commissioning.

Tasks:

  • Design and co-specify automation solutions for various systems on board ships.
  • Configure and develop software for automation systems, ensuring compliance with specifications.
  • Document and deliver software, maintaining accuracy throughout the project.
  • Develop and execute test protocols for software in virtual network environments.
  • Support commissioning and service engineers by providing relevant information.

 

Job requirements

  • A completed Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Automation or a related field (Fachhochschulreife in Industrielle Automatisierung).
  • 5+ years of experience with PLC and SCADA systems; experience with Allen Bradley or Siemens is a plus.
  • Experience in industrial automation; maritime experience is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of hardware components, automation protocols, and network architectures.
  • Willingness to obtain a Certificate of No Objection.
  • EU (NATO) nationality, due to the military reason of our client's projects..
  • Proficiency in English.

 

Conditions

  • A salary range of €3,500 to €5,150 gross per month.
