Join our client as an Automation and Control Systems Engineer for cutting-edge dredging and offshore vessels. You'll be part of innovative projects, working on Mission equipment, Vessel Management Systems, Alarm and Monitoring Systems, and Power Management Systems, ensuring our client's fleet operates at peak performance.

Tasks

  • Designing, coding and testing of PLC and SCADA software for monitoring, processing and controlling the systems on board.
  • Responsible for transforming the Functional Specification into software using standards and libraries used within the company.
  • Drawing up Design Specifications.
  • Setting up the overall system configuration and testing the software using a simulator.
  • Part of your role may involve working on board of the vessel during installation and handover to the customer.

Job requirements

  • Relevant studies.
  • Demonstrable experience with and/or affinity for measuring and control technology, and process automation.
  • At least 3 years of experience with designing, programming and coding PLCs (Rockwell/ Bachmann) and knowledge of SCADA (Cimplicity or Atvise).
  • Knowledge of process management systems.
  • The ability to read Functional Specifications and drawings (electric, pneumatic and hydraulic).
  • Analytical abilities, proactive and team player.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and preferably in Dutch as well.
  • Already living in The Netherlands or EU.
