In the role of Sub-contract Manager you will join a technical department with a commercial mindset. You will be involved from the tender phase and up until the installation/acceptance of the product, and its final delivery to the customer. In order to ensure you contribute, you will:
- Act as bridge for sub-contractors and internal project matter
- Create technical specification during the tender phase
- Handle the technical activities for sub-contracted (combat) systems
- Engage with customers, partners, the internal engineering team, and the subcontractors
- Contribute to the successful integration of different systems by being involved in activities such: definition, procurement, engineering, interfacing, installation, verification, and acceptance for various systems
- Take ownership of the assigned subcontracts for the entire project to drive and attain targeted results within the set project constraints for schedule, quality, and cost
- Act in line with requirements and specifications, as set by Class and Customer
- Participate to contractual milestones, as well as test and trials
- Follow up with warranty authority on queries and issues
- Support the proposal department in identifying new opportunities and evaluating proposals and subcontractors.
As Subcontract Manager, you need:
- Relevant degree within Electrical, Aerospace, Maritime (or similar discipline)
- Knowledge of combat systems and complex integrated technical systems
- Experience with the management of (international) technical subcontract
- Experience with contract management, legal and technical terminology
- Previous experience with engineering roles, combined with a commercial mindset
- Excellent English skills (German is considered a plus)
- Willingness to travel occasionally
- EU citizenship combined excellent antecedents (NON EU profiles will not be considered)
