Strategic Purchaser

In your role of Strategic Purchaser, you lead a category team for the purchasing of materials, products and outsourced activities.

In addition, you:

• Initiate market research and monitor/report cost trends for key commodities
• Develop and maintain relationships with strategic suppliers/subcontractors
• Oversee suppliers' contracts, making sure all variables have been considered
• Research, qualify and evaluate national and international suppliers and subcontractors, on a project basis
• Are responsible for project terms & conditions
• Create clear processes and procedures for the acquisition project (both on project based and on a non-project based)
• Define, implement and execute category strategies with strategic and non strategic suppliers
• Define budget and cost price calculations
• Are responsible for quotation evaluations and key figures
• Develop, standardize and monitor framework contracts

As Strategic Purchaser, you have:

• MSc or BSc in a technical discipline, combined with Nevi 1 and 2
• 10 years of relevant work experience in a technical environment and on complex projects
• Experience with strategic sourcing principles
• Excellent negotiation skills, independent mindset and structured and hands on mentality
• Excellent English knowledge (Dutch would be a strong advantage)
• EU citizenship combined with excellent antecedents (NON-EU profiles will not be considered)
