Your area of interest in on the integration of 3D design for non-technical layout spaces (such galley, gym, crew public spaces) and focus on the functionality and ergonomics of users.  If you are an interior specialist or mechanical outfitting engineer with cruise ship, yacht, naval (ideal) building experience, then they want you!

Aufgaben

  • Detail technical specifications for joinery works, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Support quality inspections and Factory Acceptance Tests to verify joinery meets required standards.
  • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines for seamless integration of joinery with ship systems.
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to select materials and suppliers for accommodation joinery and insulation.
  • Provide technical guidance to production, resolving project issues promptly.
  • Develop functional technical specifications for suppliers and subcontractors based on customer and design requirements.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of joinery specifications, changes, and project progress.
  • Stay updated on industry developments and best practices for joinery works.

Anforderungen

  • Deep knowledge of joinery materials, techniques, and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of collaborating effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proven experience as a Technical Specification Engineer or similar role, with a focus on joinery works in the maritime industry.
  • Proficiency in CAD software for technical drawings and specifications.
  • Attention to detail and dedication to delivering high-quality work.
  • Familiarity with naval vessel construction processes and regulations is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, adept at interpreting complex engineering data.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and verbal; knowledge of German is a significant advantage.
