Operational Planner Engineering

The function

We are looking for an organizational talent for the vacancy Operational Planner Engineering within Royal Van Lent Shipyard. Work experience and affinity with yacht / shipbuilding is nice but not necessary. As an Operational Planner at Royal Van Lent Shipyard, you will work within a strongly developing and growing organization in a project team in one of our departments. Here you take care of, among other things, the planning of the information provision, including hours, activities of your own project staff and activities of subcontractors. Together with your colleagues you are a link in the realization of one of our self-designed and built superyachts.

This is what you will do

• Consulting and coordinating progress with the senior engineers and the project manager Engineering (PME);
• Supporting the PME in project coordination;
• Monitoring internal deadlines but also external parties;
• Advising and monitoring the engineering capacity of the department;
• Drawing up schedules based on independently obtained information (project planning, project calculations, occupancy overviews and time statistics);
• Processing current developments in the planning;
• Signaling developments that influence the planning;
• Providing insight into bottlenecks that hinder the progress of the project;
• Proposing solicited and unsolicited practical solutions for project management issues.

• HBO/WO education with technical affinity
• Availability of at least 32 hours per week
• Preferably knowledge/experience within the ship/yacht building industry
• Knowledge of business processes and project activities;
• Experience with MS-Project and PowerBI is an advantage;
• Analytically very strong;
• Affinity with project management (risk management and/or quality);
• Self-reliant and self-motivated team player.
• Good command of the English language (spoken and written)
