Mechanical Engineer

As Mechanical Engineer, you have a passion for technology. You will work independently to create mechanical designs for control cabinet and switchboards.

In this role, you will:

• Be responsible for both basic and detailed design, selecting materials and drawing up material lists. 
• Be involved in product development, making design calculations to check heat, vibration, and shock matters.
• Supervise the production of your design, overviewing the developments at our client's assembly workshop and test floor.

This role is for you, if you:

• Have a degree in mechanical engineering (or similar relevant discipline), or experience designing metal/steel components for electrical equipment.
• Have experience with Inventor sheet metal and Vault Pro
• Have in depth knowledge of construction strength and strength calculations, combined with affitinity with electrical engineering and components.
• Are already based in the Netherlands and available for a 6 months project.
• Can work on your own and perform well under pressure and with deadlines.
