As Logistics Coordinator, you are involved from the execution of the order and up until final delivery and storage, monitoring the progress and ensuring that potential issues are tackled on time.
In addition, you:
- Ensure that the packaging, inspection, delivering and storing of equipment and services is performed in compliance with budget, quantities, agreements and schedule.
- Improve working relationships with the project team and offshore vessels/shorebases
- Build partnerships with vendors and interface with third parties within expediting, inspecting, logistics.
- Contribute with your inputs on transport methods and duration
- Plan and manage special shipments (out of gauge) and witness loading and unloading when necessary
- Liaise with the Project Procurement Manager, Buyers and Inspectors on matters of planning and timely transport
- Liaise with freight forwards on matters of transportation methods from worldwide suppliers to final destinations
- Request and negotiate quotations from forwards to ensure competitive rates and timely delivery
- Contribute to making time saving and cost-effective decisions
- Monitor PO to ensure their arrival to site and approve freight forwards' invoices
- Develop transportation and lift plans in line with each project's requirements
As Logistics Coordinator, you have:
- MSc or BSc degree (Engineering, Commercial,etc.) combined with several years of relevant work experience, ideally in EPC projects
- Good knowledge of contract and tax issues
- Previous experience with INCOTERMS and NADIA
- Fluency in English
- Willingness to travel occasionally to customers and vendors
- Excellent time management skills and organizational skills
- Leadership skills combined with a flexible approach
