Area Coordinator Refit

The  Area Coordinator works in the Refit and Services department and reports hierarchically to the Project Manager who is responsible for the Refit.

The  Area Coordinator coordinates the activities of the various professional disciplines on a project basis during the refit, maintenance or warranty activities of an assigned construction number. The objective within the function is to ensure that the out-fitting takes place within the planning and in accordance with the specification.

During your work, you coordinate interdisciplinary collaboration on a daily basis, organize meetings with stakeholders and ensure coordination between the various departments. You make sure everything is recorded and you check compliance with the agreements.

Throughout the process you are an advisor and connector in the field of operational decisions, finances and organizational issues.

• Several years of experience in shipbuilding and preferably yacht building in a coordinating and/or (operational) managerial position;
• A technical HBO education in the direction of ship or mechanical engineering;
• Knowledge of both the engineering process and the production process in shipbuilding;
• Knowledge of logistics and operational processes;
• Experience in a project environment;
• Experience with Cadmatic, other engineering programs and MS Office;
• Mastery of the English language, Dutch is an advantage;
• Strong communication skills at various levels;
• A strong result-oriented attitude and ability to prioritize;
• Persuasiveness and determination.
