In the role of Senior Project Manager – Navy Projects, you will join a leading manufacturer of state-of-the-art power systems in the offshore and marine sector.

You will be part of a growing team working at the dynamic heart of the Rotterdam port on multidisciplinary, high-end naval and governmental projects. As a seasoned Project Manager, you will manage complex naval projects through all phases of the project lifecycle. You will forge successful collaborations with a wide array of internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, shipyards, and classification societies, always keeping the project objectives in focus.

Aufgaben

  • Plan and lead project execution from initiation to closure, ensuring all phases are completed successfully.
  • Analyze and interpret technical specifications for generator sets and related equipment, acquiring additional information as needed.
  • Develop and monitor project planning, setting milestones, and determining interfaces.
  • Provide technical advice during the realization and pre-contract phases, assisting in the selection of components and applications.
  • Lead and manage your project team, ensuring collaboration and efficiency.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers and internal stakeholders regarding project-related issues.
  • Ensure project deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality and security standards.
  • Facilitate technical solutions and support team members in achieving project goals.
  • Oversee internal project status and milestone reviews, ensuring accurate reporting.
  • Coordinate and facilitate equipment deliveries, supporting factory acceptance tests (FAT), harbor acceptance tests (HAT), and sea acceptance tests (SAT).
  • Advise on design changes and assess potential cost impacts.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships, ensuring effective communication and cooperation.
  • Participate in project meetings, including those overseas as required.
  • Maintain confidentiality as required by governmental contracts.

Anforderungen

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, or Software Engineering
  • Knowledge of ERP and planning software.
  • Experience in the marine/naval or defense industry is an asset.
  • General cybersecurity knowledge.
  • Good understanding of engine room equipment functionality.
  • Familiarity with defense-related specifications, norms, and logistics.
  • Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to travel abroad occasionally.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Capable of mentoring and facilitating team members.
  • High work ethics with a solution-focused approach.
  • Business and customer focus with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in German is preferred
